The Belmont Commons is a 30 townhouse complex housing 4 students per unit. The 120 residents of the Commons experience life as it will be off campus while still living under the auspices and direction of the Residence Life guidelines and staff. The Commons also has a unique feel because of its location three blocks off the main campus on Delmar Ave. Students living in the Commons are required to have a meal plan.
Each apartment contains four private bedrooms, two and a half baths, a common living room, and a full kitchen. There are two designs for the apartments. One design has two bedrooms downstairs joined by a bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs also joined by a bathroom. The second design has all four bedrooms upstairs joined together by two shared bathrooms.
The central courtyard design of the complex also allows the residents to connect with one another while maintaining autonomy in their respective apartments. The Commons clubhouse is a place to build community, have educational programming, and host resident’s band rehearsals. It also houses free laundry services with six washers and six dryers for use by Commons residents only.
Commons features two gated parking lots on the east and west ends of the complex and a full parking lot across Delmar Ave. that has convenient access to the Commons pedestrian gate.
