Located between the UAA/APU Consortium Library and the central parking garage, the Social Sciences Building (SSB) hosts many centrally scheduled classrooms. SSB houses the College of Arts and Sciences Administrative Offices and the academic departments of Alaska Native Studies, Political Science, and Mathematics & Statistics, CTC Quantitative Studies and CTC computer networking and technology labs. The Montgomery Dickson Tea Room hosts special functions focusing on Japanese culture. Also present in SSB is the Surgical Technology Lab, Psychology PhD program, Psychological Services Center (PSC). The PSC provides confidential counseling by supervised psychology graduate master and doctoral students. The UAA campus Information Technology Services and qualified Dell warranty service center is located on the first floor for easy access. The Kaladi’s Brothers Café is located just inside the entrance. The Office of Equity and Compliance (OEC) can be found on the third floor, SSB 352. The OEC addresses discrimination and harassment, including sex- and gender-based under Title IX.
