The Habitat and Jean McLaughlin Outdoor Education & Research Center

MAIN Habitat

Apart from the main campus to the west of Chickasha lies the habitat area. This 140-acre property was the originally proposed location for the college. Now, our science departments use this thriving wildlife community for observation and testing purposes. Some of the wildlife observed in the habitat include deer, turkey, armadillo, opossum and turtles along with a variety of birds. The habitat area features its own outdoor classroom for students as well as an astronomical observatory.
