Artist: Joseph S. Falsetti
Installed in 1985, the Bryan Fine Arts sculpture was created by nationally recognized artist and University of Tennessee-Knoxville professor Joseph S. Falsetti. The sculpture features a series of tall steel columns and curved archways, designed to “echo” the classical architecture of the Bryan Fine Arts Building and the surrounding campus. Selected from 26 national submissions, Falsetti’s design bridges traditional and modern aesthetics, drawing inspiration from Greco-Roman forms while embracing a contemporary sculptural language. The work stands as a lasting symbol of Tennessee Tech’s artistic spirit, merging history, innovation, and community identity.
