Woodward Technology Center (WTC)

WTC

The Woodward Technology Center (WTC) is a three-story, state-of-the-art space with various classrooms and labs, including the CLACOR Center for Innovation and the Robotics and Mechatronics Lab. The labs feature industry-grade equipment and software. You’ll also find several computer labs, where you can do homework and class projects.

Both the Engineering Technology and Computer and Information Systems programs provide certificate and degree options if you are interested in transferring to a four-year institution. The innovative NIU Engineering @ RVC program is a collaborative effort between Rock Valley College and Northern Illinois University. Through the program, local students can earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology without ever leaving the RVC campus.

The Business and Professional Institute also calls Woodward home. BPI’s Rockford Ready program provides an opportunity to pursue an affordable bachelor’s degree in business management locally. Like the engineering program, this collaborative arrangement between Rock Valley College and Rockford University enables students with an A.A.S. degree to seamlessly transfer from RVC to RU, take online or hybrid courses, and earn a bachelor’s degree in as few as 24 months.
