Lawson Clubhouse

MAIN CLUBHOUSE

"The Lawson Clubhouse, formerly Lawson Hall, was built in 1935 as one of three women’s dormitories. The building was named for Native American storyteller Roberta Lawson, a prominent civic leader and longtime member of the Board of Regents. The first step to its rebirth came in September 2001, when the campus was named to the National Register of Historic Places. The USAO Foundation and Great Plains Housing of Norman restored and expanded the hall to become the Lawson Court Apartments.

The original building now includes amenities like The Daily Grind coffee shop, lounge area, free laundry room, meeting areas, pool table, swimming pool, sand volleyball court and a movie theater. Student mailboxes are also located in the clubhouse."
