Canning Hall is home to USAO's deaf education program. USAO is the only public college in Oklahoma to offer deaf education as a major. Here, students learn how to work with and teach children and adults with hearing problems. Canning Hall is also the home of the Jane Brooks School for the Deaf, which provides deaf education majors with an invaluable resource for learning and observing how to work with students of various ages with hearing problems.
