Students majoring in Child Development gain valuable professional experience working with 2- to 5-year-olds in the campus Child Development Lab. The center is a benefit for both HSU students and the local families who bring their children for morning and afternoon sessions. Students in the Department of Child Development also work closely with their professors on research projects, take part in peer mentorship, and take Directed Field Experience courses that place them in learning environments throughout the local community.
