At the time it was built, Gist Hall served as the campus elementary school where teachers-in-training would develop their skills while studying at Humboldt State Teachers College. Since Humboldt evolved into a full university, the building has new purposes but has lost none of its original charm. Within Gist Hall, you’ll find the offices for the student-run newspapers, the Lumberjack and El Leñador, and the broadcast studio for KRFH 105.1 FM, HSU’s student-run radio station. The building also features a dance studio, theater spaces, and the Academic & Career Advising Center.
