"Rhapsody
of Color," a series of large-scale paintings by Tennessee Tech emeritus
professor of painting Chris Trella Koczwara, fills the Volpe Library
stairwell with vibrant energy. The four towering paintings exemplify
Koczwara's dynamic career, including her historic achievements as the
first woman commissioned as a combat artist by the U.S. Marine Corps
during the Vietnam War and her commission by the U.S. Navy to paint the
Apollo 7 liftoff.
