The Academic Resources Center (ARC) opened its doors the spring of 2007 and has since become the major hub of student learning on campus. The first floor of the ARC includes an open and airy writing center, a tutorial center where students have access to free one-on-one tutoring via 190 student stations, an open-access computer lab, and a self-help copy center.
The second floor of the ARC houses a video-linked distance learning classroom, the Teacher Learning Center (TLC), various faculty offices, a film and video production studio, photography studio, and headquarters for AHC’s multimedia services and information technology department.
Also included in the ARC is the Ann Foxworthy Gallery and adjacent garden court, which are located on the first floor and named in honor of our previous college Superintendent/President Ann Foxworthy. The gallery features diffused natural light and pivoting wall panels that accommodate the various fine art exhibitions that rotate throughout the year.
