The original Larson Museum and Art Gallery opened in 1949 thanks to the generosity of A.E. and Rose Larson. After hosting exhibitions that advanced an appreciation for the arts in the Yakima Valley for more than 70 years, the gallery opened a new exhibition space on YVC's West Campus in 2021. The original facility continues to host events and workshops.
