The 52-foot tall Helen Jewett Shields Millennium Clock Tower was dedicated in 2001 and sits as a prominent landmark on YVC's Yakima Campus. Numerous campus activities take place in the plaza surrounding the Craftsman-style tower, which holds four clocks with a computerized carillon system that marks every quarter-hour. Robert Fisher, chair of the college's Department of Visual Arts at the time, developed the design for the tower to complement the style of nearby campus buildings.
